What a beautiful time of the year!
I’m sitting here on my bed and finishing up my book when I hear through the thin walls, my mom speaking. Then I hear a second voice following after her, in a sense…kind of like teaching, it being my dad. As I transition myself out of my cross-legged position to go stand side by side with the wall and listen, I find that my parents are reading the bible together.
Listening in silence and hearing nothing but their distant, yet clear, voices reading the Word…I’m touched.
Oh, what you learn from parents. :)
Blessed, I am.
So, I’m at church, sitting on the ground, and waiting for my nephew to get out of football meeting when this little boy comes up to me and asks, “Do you want to know something funny?” And I reply, “Yeah, sure!” Then he said “You know? Every time I check my pocket, I always find a dollar. It’s so cool, it’s God’s blessing!” I smiled at how adorable he was and was amazed that at such a young age, he was able to praise God for his blessings.
Then moments later, an older boy came up to our church’s caretaker asking for shovels to help shovel the snow so when the men and women ministry get off their weekly meetings, it will prevent possible injury when going outside.
I’m constantly amazed by these children and their child-like faith. They’re such great reminders for those who gets lost in this world.
They’re my blessings.
“Wherever she goes, the bride of Jesus reflects something of heaven’s radiance. A flame with love for her Bridegroom, she sparks off fires in the hearts of others. Such is the nature of the bride, for no one is a bride of Jesus who does not have a burning love and zeal for the kingdom of God.”
